IAS Training Institutes in Andhra Pradesh


Vijayawada, which is situated on the banks of River Krishna, is one of the rapidly growing urban markets in the country.  Post-bifurcation,  the city is bustling with constriction and commercial activity and was recognized  as the “Global City of the Future” by McKinsey Quarterly.  The city which emerged as the Education Hub of the Andhra Pradesh with hundreds of schools, colleges and coaching centres mushrooming, has become a nerve centre for civil service coaching drawing a huge number of aspirants not only from Andhra Pradesh but also neighbouring Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

The Takshasila IAS Academy, a homegrown institute, was launched five years ago by an young engineering postgraduate Dr BSN Durga Prasad  on the arterial Bundar Road near Benz Circle. As Amaravati capital construction picked up,  more and more reputed educational institutions like SRM University, Saveetha University and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) opened their branches giving the city a cosmopolitan look.  This led to the boom in civil service coaching.  Many  local entrepreneurs also established coaching centres leading to a healthy competition in the competitive exam field. As the competition hotted up, these institutes are forced to raise to the expectations of parents and students. Consequently, they recruited experienced and expert faculty notably from Delhi and Hyderabad and took care of boarding and lodging facilities of aspirants.

The success of Takshasila IAS Academy which secured seven ranks in a short span of five years awed the aspirants who joined it in large numbers making it a number one coaching centre in the sun-rise Andhra Pradesh. Recognising the meritorious services of the academy, the Government of Andhra Pradesh shortlisted it under the NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme giving a unique honour  of only centre that was selected in AP. Academy Managing Director Dr BSN Durga Prasad said that one need not go to far away places like Delhi and Hyderabad for civil service coaching now as Vijayawada coaching institutes have capability and core values to coach civil servant aspirants. “We summon Delhi and Hyderabad faculty to teach aspirants here. We provide excellent infrastructure that include WiFi facility, a fine library that contains an array of NCERT, NBT and a number of reference books suggested by experts and successful candidates. We also utilise the services of senior and serving bureaucrats and famous academic professionals who deliver guest lectures and tips  to crack the exam,” he said and questioned the wisdom of the aspirants who still want to go to Delhi and Hyderabad. “Distant hills look green,” he added.
