60-70% of syllabus is same between Mains and Prelims. However, the time that a candidate gets to prepare for Mains once Prelims is cleared is not enough. Therefore, for optimizing results, it is advisable to begin with the preparation of Mains to get an edge over others. The time between Prelims and Mains should be used for revision and updating current affairs.

The academy conducts regular weekly tests. The copies are corrected by the faculty-in-charge personally and if required, a one-to-one session is also addressed.

Yes, the academy takes tests very seriously and no leniency is allowed. Students who do not take up tests are not allowed to attend subsequent classes. Practicing writing tests are as important as attending classes for a successful result.

It is said that the earlier you begin, the faster you get the results. The integrated course module was launched to assist those students who were pursuing an undergraduate degree programme and wanted to prepare for the Civil Services Exam simultaneously. Anarchy never does any good to anyone. The institution strongly believes that discipline is extremely important for the success of any organization. Extensive efforts have been taken to ensure that strict discipline is maintained in the campus and safety of all is ensured. As a part of these measures, bio-metric finger printing machines and CCTVs were installed on every floor.

Yes it is possible to clear the exam in the First attempt. However, this kind of an output requires corresponding efforts. Consistent preparation and regular test writing can assure one of success even in the First attempt.

Test to be taken as per convenience butneeds to be submitted before Sunday evening.

Can the fee be paid in instalments? The academy does not encourage the practice of paying the fees in instalments as this practice is reflective of the resolve of the candidate. A serious candidate will be prepared to attend the whole course and not drop out for any reason whatsoever. It is this strong resolve to pursue the preparation for the Civil Services Examination that Takshasila IAS Academy wants to promote. However, considering the amount, Rs. 25,000 can be submitted to block a seat and the rest of the amount can be paid before the classes commence. (option of post dated Cheque is available by the discretion of management on the request)

Yes, the academy provides concise, updated and accurate reading material that is relevant for the exams. There is also a fully furbished library and a reading room that can be used on all 7 days (24*7)
